I’m really happy with the putting thing so far. I’ve used it at home and at the practice greens at a course nearby. My putting has been so erratic over the years so this will help me groove a better set up, club path and start line with the ball. Having the detachable rail to help get set up and make sure the putt is on the correct line is great too!
I like the concept however I’m finding that my older Ray Cook “Billy Baroo” blade putter is wider than most putters I have tomuse the 0-1 settings just to fit my putter through the gates I have found that my regular putter stroke isn’t exactly straight back and thru which is what I hope this tool will help me improve More time needed but would like to be able to adjust the gates wider

I was a little sceptical about the product especially with the cost but trust me (and I don't write many reviews) the Putting Thing is totally worth it. Within 2 minutes it had helped me analyse the fault in my stroke as I repeatedly caught the gate with the inside of the club (I've indicated this on the photo). As soon as I had eliminated the fault from my stroke I literally couldn't miss. A great tool and one that I have started to practice regularly with to ensure my stroke is perfectly square at impact.

Best product to make you suck less at putting. It’s both fun and frustrating to hit the gates on lvl4. When you get one through, though, you feel like a true champion.

This is the perfect addition to an in-home putting mat. When I first tried it I couldn't believe how many times I pulled or pushed my putts. I just use this for maybe 5 minutes a day to reinforce my putting motion. It's really an eye opener. Other benefits are the small lines that help align your eyes over the ball, and the "grip strip" behind the ball helped me realize where my hands needed to be to keep the club face flat. If it's too toe low or high, the putter will hit the metal and you'll notice right away. Highly recommended!

I love it. The design and theory behind it is a win. It brings me to the golf course to practice..... The only putting practice I've ever done is putting those three balls before the round. Now I'm breaking it down to a science. If it helps me get 1% better every day it's worth every penny.

Even if you think you don’t, you need this thing. Not a fan of too many practice aids as many are gimmicky. This is not. Immediately after using it the first time you see how it helps in your alignment and start line especially which is critical for good putting. I have it on my sim mat with a cup and when most of my friends see it for the first time they scoff at it as a gimmick and being easy but a few quick putts and they’re banging the ball off the front gates and are suddenly determined to take deliberate strokes to cleanly get through it. Love it.

I’ve been using the putting thing and the mirror and have found them to be very beneficial in providing instant feedback. I really like the mirror as it provides the student instant feedback as to what a good turn looks and feels like. The putting thing not only improves one path, but reveals that face angle at impact is the most important aspect in developing a stroke that consistently starts the ball rolling on the intended line.

How much leeway does the ball gate provide when the ball gate is set to a 4 setting? +/- 1% deviation from target line? +/- 0.5%?
It gives you 1/32 of an inch of clearance on both sides of the ball. I'm not sure what that math comes down to in terms of degrees. Thanks, WhyGolf Team
