How Wolf is scored
Every loser pays every winner one point. A blind wolf doubles it.
The Wolf tees off first and either takes a partner or plays the hole alone. The hole is best ball, the Wolf's side against the rest, and a tie is a push. In a foursome a Wolf and partner who win collect 2 points each, one from each opponent. A lone wolf who wins collects 3, and one who loses pays 1 to each of the other three.
In the round on this page, from our Wolf guide, the four players collected 15, 13, 16 and 17 points. Money follows the net, which is points collected less points paid: plus 1, minus 3, plus 1 and plus 1. At $1 a point, the player on minus 3 pays each of the other three $1.

Questions
How do you settle up in Wolf?
Add up each player's points collected and points paid, and pay the difference at the value of a point. Every hole adds up to nothing, because what the winners collect the losers pay, so the group's totals always balance.
How many points is a lone wolf worth?
In a foursome a lone wolf who wins collects 3 points, one from each opponent, and one who loses pays 1 to each of the three. With five players it is 4 and with three it is 2.
What is a blind wolf?
The Wolf declares they are going alone before anyone has teed off, themselves included. Every point on the hole is doubled: in a foursome a blind wolf who wins collects 6, and one who loses pays 2 to each of the other three.
Who is the Wolf on holes 17 and 18?
Four players rotate evenly through 16 holes, so two are left over. The most common rule gives the Wolf on 17 to the player with the fewest points, and again on 18 if they are still last. Some groups just keep rotating. The calculator does either.
Can you play Wolf with 3 or 5 players?
Yes. Three players rotate through all 18 holes. Five rotate through 15, and the player with the fewest points is the Wolf on each of the last three. The points change with the number of players, and the table on this page has all three.
